Jukebox feature
Posted: Sat May 09, 2009 4:34 pmI'm very happy about the new jukebox feature, but I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas for the following situation:
My installation of subsonic actually runs on a server in a datacenter. I have a separate headless workstation hooked up to a nice sound system in a shared office. Currently, we simply remote desktop into the workstation and make changes to the playlist, volume, etc. I'd like to use the jukebox feature to play audio via the workstation, but allow users to make changes without remoting in.
I'm thinking I'll need to possibly setup a separate streamer like icecast or something to transport the audio from the server to the workstation.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated!
