My current hardware is on it's way out & I would like to migrate from this to a windows platform when i change out hardware, but i don't want to lose associated playlists-metadata etc....
does anyone know...
is this possible ?
are there any relatively concise instructions somewhere?
If there is more info required please let me know.
any help is greatly appreciated!
thanks.

I don't know the problem. I have all the Data in the MP3 Tags and the cover pics are (also) in the folder (and Tags).... in my case always folder.jpg but you can name it in configuration, as usual.
Playlist you can export and import again ..... and the best of all ... @i7 with W10Pro running Hyper-V Ubuntu VM, Subsonic Windows needs something about 10 Minutes to scan 250.000 Titles and a lots of Videos. So if you have a good clean base, in my opinion, nothing is lost
