Subsonic App & Android

Hello to all,

i have a Synology NAS DS218j. I runs on the system and i can use it with my SONOS.

Now i want to get access from outside to Subsonic.

When i logged in to my Browser, than i take the Server Adress:
http://xxx.subsonic.org

This Adress i take for the App. And the Password i take for log in to Browser. The Username is same to log in to Browser.

If i tested the Connection on my Phone than come an Error.

What can i do? Is this a Problem with my Router? Portforwarding?

In most cases you have to add the portnumber i.e. default 4040

http://xxx.subsonic.org:4040 by example and of course the router has to forward this adress and you probably need an redirect service.

Every couple of days the IP of your home will change, I don't know if the subsonic Adress can recognize that. If not you need a redirect service, thats in most cases free.
But first try to add the port number ....
