Subsonic Forum

I recently noticed subsonic wasn't working on one of my mobile apps, so I checked the desktop/browser app and turns out no music is showing in the main window and the left hand menu isn't available at all. Instead if just shows what it can (in the small space available) of the error message. Key point seems to be "org.springframework.dao.TransientDataAccessResourceException".

I've seen other posts on here with similar sounding issues, but not obvious fix. Seems it may have been caused by temporary lack of disk space - maybe this corrupted a key file and the database hasn't been able to update/fix itself? Also seems others have tried to reinstall subsonic and/or java with no success.

Any suggestions / help anyone can offer?

It looks like your DB got borked - have you tried cleaning up database and re-scanning files?

Can't access settings, so unable to rescan - should I just delete the db file and have it rebuild?

Yeah try that

Seem to have sorted it. Not sure it was due to me deleting the entire db folder, reinstalling the whole thing and/or setting the cache parts of the property file in the db folder = 0 (as spotted in a GitHub post somewhere). Either way, I have been able to get to the settings panel now, have reset everything and it's rescanning

Just frustrating that I seems to have this or a similarly fatal issue with ss every year or two
