(Solved) New Tomcat Install - Music will not play

I have been running Subsonic Windows version for a while now. I have also been running the Standalone on an Ubuntu box with no issues.

I decided to load Tomcat on my windows xp pc and install the WAR version (3.6). I am running Tomcat 5.5

Everything seems to work fine except when I add things to my playlist and push play nothing happens. I look in the Subsonic log and there is nothing at all. Not the normal "starting stream" message.

I have never used Tomcat before so maybe I am missing something simple, but everything else seems to work so I am at a loss. This same issue occurs whether I am accessing from the local PC or over the network. If I choose an external player and push play it will open Media Monkey (my external player) but nothing ever plays.

Any ideas?

FYI I installed 3.7 and had the same issue. I removed it from the work and webapp folder and tried 3.6 again, this time renaming it to Music instead of Subsonic just in case it was having an issue since I am also running a Subsonic Windows install on the same xp machine.

The Windows one has its Subsonic default folder moved to D: instead of C: so I wouldnt think there would be an issue with that but who knows.

Now installed 3 different times and always the same issue. Pushing play does nothing, but all other functionality works.

I changed the port in tomcat and it works now... very weird. I wasnt using a standard port so not sure where the conflict was.
