hlsjs : video file not found with mkv in browser

Hi everyone !
I recently installed subsonic on a raspberri pi, and it seems to work fine except with my mkv videos...
When I try to play them in firefox or in Chrome, it says "hlsjs: video file not found" except they appear in the directory, and that I can play them with the android app...
Is there a plugin I need to install?
Also, I was able to play the with some king of streaming link directly with vlc, but now it isn't available anymore.. Do you have any idea?
