ipv6 WAN

Long time subsonic user. For many years, was able to access my library from outside my home network. A couple years ago I switched ISVs to a google fibre provider. broke my ability to access subsonic from outside my home network.

As part of the change, it's my understanding that I no longer have an ipv4 address. I've futzed with this a few times and never figured out how to restore access from outside the house.

any ideas how to approach / fix?

Server is on a windows 10 Home box.

some additional info

when configuring the "network" panel...

Access your server over the Internet using an easy-to-remember address.

Status: Could not connect to <my server name>.subsonic.org. (NoRouteToHostException)

I've also tried using the ipv4 I get from whatsmyip with and without port number

ipv6 from whatmyip comes back blank

There are different ipV6 Protocol out there. An common problem from cable (TV) provider is ipV6 DS light because there is no port forwarding. Here in germany, you can still ask for an ipv4 and they give one, if you are talking about ip cam or homeserver you need for your job (but much provider don't allow NAS/Homeserver).

Read here, it is german, but the most browser will translate..
