Missing Log File information

Hi there,

when i remember right in the past i was able to see inside the file subsonic.log which user was listening to which songs or downloading which songs. I saw today that these information are no longer stored inside the
log file. Is there changed anything or do i have to configure a kind of log level ?

Thanks in advance.

Greetings,

Flamos

It is only showing what is played and with LAST.FM support it is showing who is forwarding the information, thats all... for Windows

This is from an older version of subsonic and there have been entries inside the log with information about which user was listening to which songs and this is non longer aviable.
In my question is now how to get this backe ?

[5/23/13 12:00:49 PM CEST] INFO PlayQueueInputStream philipp listening to "2010 - Closer To The Edge/01 - Closer to the Edge.mp3

you didn't say what OS you are running ...
The first thing is imho downgrade, but thats probably not what you want.

Another way I was thinking about, but didn't try yet.
As you probably know, Airsonic is an fork of an older subsonic version.
I'm running Subsonic at Windows10Pro and Airsonic in a virual machine with ubuntu.
Here it is shown how to change the log level for Airsonic and I think it should work at subsonic too, but as mentioned before, I didn't try !!!!
I don't think that Sindre has changed so much in the newer versions.
https://airsonic.github.io/docs/logging/#main-log-file
Even if you are running Subsonic at Windows, there is still the WAR File found at Program Files (x86)\Subsonic
Note: renaming the WAR File to zip you can have a look inside ;-) of course with a copy ;-)

hi,

sorry i forgot to mention that i am running the latest version of subsonic in an ubuntu vm.
I am using subsonic for nearly 8 years now i think and i can't even say when there was the point that this information is no longer stored inside the log file.
A few weeks ago i was looking inside the log files and did not see this information and thought there might be a change with log level or anything else.
Guess i will install another vm and try some older versions to find the point where it changed.
