NAS not visible to Subsonic

I'm sure this is a NAS management question, rather than a Subsonic-specific question; I'm hoping other users have the answer.

My primary use, in the house, is running Roon on a headless Windows terminal to listen to music stored on two NAS. Over the winter, a brownout scrambled the firmware on one NAS (a Buffalo LinkStation) while leaving the data intact; the process of replacing it stretched out over more than a month.

I'm now back up and running, and Roon sees the contents of both machines fine, but Subsonic (which runs on the same Windows machine) doesn't see the folder on the new LinkStation that contains the music files.

Subsonic service on Windows is running as logged-in local user. Security Properties of NAS directories (one working and new invisible LinkStation) appear to be identical: owner is root, permission on live folder is Everyone / Full control.

Are you using that path to the music folder? \\192.168.1.189\wmrf
Why not mapping the path to a windows drive i.e X:\wmrf? I'm not sure if subsonic can handle your path ...
If you are having no Desktop at all, this is the command line.

net use X: \\192.168.1.189\wmrf /user:name password /persistent:Yes

The Persistent switch is only needed if the drive should be available after reboot

Woops, I forgot to reply -

Thanks, your suggestion did the trick! I didn't map it, but I remembered that the drive had an SMB alias and used that. My second NAS (a WD) is visible via IP, so I don't know why the Buffalo isn't, but it doesn't matter.

Thanks for your reply. I'm spending a lot time to try to help. In most cases there is no information, also for other user, what the failure was.
