Stream buffering fails

Hi all,

I've noticed that when I play a track of, say 3 minutes, the Subsonic web player buffers parts of the song. You can see the total playtime increasing as the song progresses.

However, sometimes a song stops buffering and it finishes and goes to the next song before the end.

My browser is 68.7.0esr, on Debian 10, and Subsonic version 6.1.6 (build 0cfa60) – November 10, 2019. I have a premium license as well.

How can I fix this?

Thanks

There are several reasons possible ...
First, the browser, try another. If trying from Android phone you must possibly change to desktop mode, otherwise it may faile too.
ffmpeg has a couple of bugs, try a updated one in transcoder folder.
If you are using Linux, you probably have to adjust the different memory settings.
if you are using a raspberry with external drive, you have probably to adjust the timeout setting.

As usual, there is not much information about your setup ....

It seems to work in Google Chrome (Version 81.0.4044.138 (Official Build) (64-bit)).

I will try with a newer version of ffmpeg, but that seems unlikely since it works in another browser.

If you want more information about my setup, please tell me what you are missing.

It seems it is a browser problem, I'm running subsonic in Windows Pro environment and Airsonic (Subsonic Clone) in a Linux VM. Airsonic can't play FLAC and ALAC in Firefox, but Subsonic is working fine, other Browsers work well.
I don't know if this is a browser issue or related to Subsonic. Since Sindre is not working so much at subsonic I guess you have to live with that problem.
If your browser is mozilla based, we probably know the reason.
