Port forwarding stopped for some reason and no longer works

Problem Description: For about a month I didn't use Subsonic much; about two weeks ago it just stopped working on my mobile device--every time I tried to connect to the server from the app, it would give me an error message. When I tried to fix this problem, at first Subsonic did not indicate that there was any problem with port forwarding, but still gave me error messages when trying to connect from the app. After I turned the computer off and on again, it said that it failed to create port forwarding. Not sure why it chose to stop working now; did not have problems with this in the past.
Edit: Currently using port 4040.
Troubleshooting Steps: Turned machine on and off, uninstalled and re-installed Subsonic, unconnected and reconnected computer to network, disabled and re-enabled "Automatically configure your router to allow incoming connections to Subsonic (using UPnP or NAT-PMP port forwarding)," changed server address, username, and password, enabled forwarding over HTTP through port 443.
Playback Application and version: Standard Subsonic Web Player
Subsonic Version: .1.6 (build 0cfa60) – November 10, 2019
Server Version: jetty-6.1.x, java 1.8.0_152, HSQLDB, Windows 10 (72.9 MB / 145.0 MB)
Hardware Platform: Windows Home Server
Java Memory Limit: I'm an idiot and don't know how to find this
Output from ffmpeg -i: 'ffmpeg' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

I'm using a router, so called Flagship of a german brand. The Port forwarding was never working for me. May be the router gets automatic firmware updates and a restart of the router might help.
I would suggest to use a stativ IP for your server and use the port forwarding of your router.

In case you don't know how to setup a static IP read here
https://kb.netgear.com/27476/How-do-I-s ... in-Windows

A hint, a double klick at your adapter and klick on details will show the actual IP, Subnet and dns, write it down and use it for the manual setup.
I don't know what brand is your router, but you should find informations about port forwarding in the manual or search the net.

I tried unplugging and plugging the router back in. Not sure if that's what you meant by "restart the router."

I may give my ISP a call and see if they can give me a hand.
