I can load my internal page and see all my music, playlists, etc.
When I try to view from an external device or external page, the page cannot be displayed.
Test Connection in Dsub returns 4 errors.

I have verified on canyouseeme.org and yougetsignal.com that port 4040 is pointing to my device that has my music on it.

Any suggestions?

is the secret posting a question on here? because it worked after i researched and tried things for hours, and resorted to posting on here

Glad it worked out. It's satisfying managing your own music collection through subsonic but every now and then it can be a lot of work.
