Scanning stuck on 'Scanning Files: 1'

Any help very gratefully received... this has happened 3 or 4 times over each time I've tried to get this running over the last year.

Problem Description: Scanning for days without making progress - web browser says Scanning Files: 1. Around 30 of the 2000 Flac albums were loaded almost instantly, then stuck on this for days.
Troubleshooting Steps: Tried reinstalling everything, clicking scan media folders now, clean up-datebase
Playback Application and version: Standard Subsonic Web Interface
Subsonic Version: 6.1.6 (build 0cfa60) – November 10, 2019
Server Version: jetty-6.1.x, java 1.8.0_212, HSQLDB, Linux (51.8 MB / 145.0 MB)
Hardware Platform: Raspberry Pi 3 reading a network drive, accessing web browser on a MacBook Pro

Same problem here on a raspberry pi 4 with a drive mounted using Rclone. but for me it did not scan anything, it started with "scanning 1 file' and is stuck there.

I followed this to use Rclone ( https://medium.com/@artur.klauser/mount ... 002c7095c2 0) and while I didn't go so far as to start it at boot time (the very end of the tutorial) I did Configure Systemd (the section before last), so once I'm logged in > "systemctl --user start rclone@gdrive"
For info, I don't know it it's important, it's "read only" (but I don't see why Subsonic should be able to write anything).

VLC is perfectly able to read the music files on the mounted drive.

Any help appreciated.

Hi.
Sorry for the bother. It actualy solved itself. It said "scanning files : 1 for hours, but I decided to let it do its thing. And 2h later it was still "scanning 1" but I noticed the "index" page was populated with hundreds of names. So I let it do its thing some more, and after a while it moved to file 2, then 800 and now it's a 15K. Without any intervention on my side.
I guess it's a bit of a diesel engine, or it 's not super accurate at reporting scanned files or scanning doesn't think what I think it does.
Anyways, for me it's solved.
