Offline - Not Reachable

So, just the other day I was listening to some albums that I didn't have cached on my phone away from my home network. It's been working just fine for many months. But for some reason today it says the server is unreachable (offline). Nothing has changed on my network. I switch my phone app to offline mode and switch it back to "Online" just to be sure, but it still says offline. I pay for the premium service and it redirects to my dynamic IP just fine. But when I put in https://<ip_address>:<port>/index.view - it says:

This site can’t be reached
<ip_address> refused to connect.

Like I said this has been working just fine until today. Nothing has changed - no updates and no config changes. I confirmed port forwarding is still set up on the router and the subsonic service is still set to login as the user. Service is started and running. Windows firewall is disabled. So is AV. I don't have any problems on the local network - just remotely.

When I go to CanYouSeeMe.org and test both ports, it says "Connection refused" for both - UGH!!! It seems to be port-related problem, bet when I run netstat - it shows the ports are listening.

I can't get this to work! Any ideas what may be wrong?

I have the same exact problem. Subsonic uses a large amount of system resources - the most if all processes - but does not operate. I get the "localhost refused to connect" message and the tray icon is red. Even the folks at portforward.com were unable to resolve the problem, concluding it was not a port issue.

From what I gather upon further perusing the help board, the subsonic project is largely defunct. That's a shame. I've been enjoying it for many years and would be willing to pay alot more than the cost of my lifetime membership, going forward, so I hope its not an economic issue. Can anyone recommend an alternative for a very marginally computer literate individual like me?

The several possibilities require troubleshooting. Canyouseeme.org for your port needs to 'pass' the test for remote connection to your server. Many things can block this, ranging from modem/router updates, reboots, new IP assignments from your ISP, or worse, your ISP can block servers altogether, if it's listed in your TOS. Often for routers, simply deleting an existing port opening, rebooting, and then setting it up again, rebooting, will fix a port that seems to no longer work. Canyouseeme.org will tell you the story.

Could be the same problem that I have.
See "Network connection problem".

I should also pay some money if the problem is fixed (if it's Subsonic that fails).
