Hello,
I use subsonic on an Asustor Nas who work really great on my iPhone with play:Sub.
But on my Mac I'm unable to find an app who allows me to read properly my music.
All 3 apps mention on subsonic site are real joke. They are 5 to 10 years old and do not work properly.
Trying the ones for Chrome do not let me advance the time in a song and restart it from the beginning. Like with the Subsonic web app ! SO ANNOYING !!!!!
Does everybody has the same issue ?
Any recommendation for playing my music on my Mac ?
Thanks
Xavier
PS:I bought the one year subscription

SubFire is a chrome webapp (suite) that has a time slider on the player page. Consider trying
https://subfiresuite.com/m2 . (shameless plug, I wrote and maintain it) use
http://subfiresuite.com/m2 if your server is not https secure.

A couple of play:Sub users have reported that the iOS/iPad version of play:Sub runs and works on the new M1-based Macs.
I haven't tried this myself, but if you need an excuse to get yourself a new Mac, this is it

@acroyear, thanks I have tried and retry this chrome app but I'm still unable to use the time slider - it always come back to the beginning !
Like with the subsonic web player. (Drive me nuts !!!!)
Might be a bug in subsonic server app ?
Does anyone else has this problem ?
@Michael, I'll wait a bit to see if worth the change ^^

Is your music mp3 or some other format? It may be that your music is being transcoded (converted from ogg, m4a, or flac to mp3), and that can break the seek feature. When it is converting, it is streaming it live from the conversion as it goes rather than converting to a tmp file and serving that.

Thanks @Acroyear - I'm just using Flac files that might explain it.
I see in Subsonic that there is a transcoding tab in the settings.
Is there something I could do here to solve this issu ?

there may be a setting in that which adds flac to the list of formats that get transcoded. Maybe you could take flac out of the suffix list?
It won't work for subfire, as I have it configured to only accept mp3s (something I'd like to clean up, but it is lower priority as, well, my entire collection is mp3). but might work for the main UI and some other clients.
