Podcast confusion!

Postby deljones » Fri Mar 05, 2021 11:39 am

Hello everyone.

I have a very good Subsonic server set up which has been working very well now for a good few years.

This week I decided to try out the podcasts but I have been getting unreliable results.

If I enter a URL Subsonic retrieves the list of episodes and the tile for the podcast confirms the number of episodes, I can see them, but I can't play them, there is no play icon shown.

Some episodes will play ok.

I have left the podcast settings as default, ie 10 past, 10 downloads etc.

What bothers me more is that some say that "there is no space on the device" which is wrong as there is still about half a TB left on the drive to go...

I've tried to refresh the page etc but no change,

Can anyone help out with some advice?

Kind regards

Dj

FURTHER NEWS.

So I have ftp'ed to the directory that the podcasts are stored in, /var/music/Podcast and sure enough, there are the last 10 episodes in MP3 format but showing 0 bytes meaning they didn't download? These are the same episodes that show in Subsonic as "Not enough space on device" message.

The directory that was set to default, /var/music/podcast had permission set on it that was not suitable so I simply changed the directory in subsonic > settings > podcasts to the same directory as my music library, so multimedia/music/podcasts.

All good...

Thanks all for reading
