Why can't I change forum password?

I'm logged in
I want to change my password as Google says it is part of a leak

I go to on here and it gives me a Spam message, so I can't change the password.

What is the point of that?

If I was a spammer, well I am logged in anyway.
If I am not, well I can't change the potentially leaked password.

Makes no sense.

User Control Panel-Profile Tab-Edit Account Settings: Type new password twice, once in change and again in confirm new password, enter your old password to change password. Should work. If not, pm me a screencap of message, or I can set a temporary password and you can change that to one of your choice.
