Listening to music on my phone.

I was able to set up the app on my phone and the server on my PC with all my music. When using the app over my WiFi network everything runs smoothly. As soon as I turn off the WiFi on my phone to use my phone network instead, I get errors when trying to access the server. What can I do to fix this?

What URL are you using to access your Subsonic server over the internet?

Have you set port forwarding/upnp on your router?

1. The URL is the server address with my username (http://username.subsonic.org)

2. I have not set up that on my router. I thought it would work with my phone carrier network.

1) you may need to open a hole in your firewall to get to the server from the outside world.
2) port forwarding might not be turned on for your router

both of these could be true even if you clicked the "Automatically configure your router to allow incoming connections to Subsonic" switch. The switch suggests to the router to make changes to forward the subsonic traffic, but that doesn't mean the router is configured to actually do it.
