1) you may need to open a hole in your firewall to get to the server from the outside world.
2) port forwarding might not be turned on for your router
both of these could be true even if you clicked the "Automatically configure your router to allow incoming connections to Subsonic" switch. The switch suggests to the router to make changes to forward the subsonic traffic, but that doesn't mean the router is configured to actually do it.
3) your ISP might be blocking
