Hello Folks:
Subsonic has been running fine from a Mac for a couple years but recently stopped serving web pages.
Problem Description: SubSonic launches all right but any attempted connection back to it from remote (or local) browser returns error:

HTTP ERROR: 503
SERVICE_UNAVAILABLE
RequestURI=/

Troubleshooting Steps: I've tried downgrading from 6.1.6 back to 6.1.5. I've downgraded from. newer OpenJava back to a Java 8 version.
Playback Application and version: Web browsers: Tried Safari, Edge, Firefox, Chrome & Opera, various versions.
Subsonic Version: 6.1.6
Server Version: HSQL 1.8.0.5
Hardware Platform: server running on macOS 10.15.7, Catalina
Java Memory Limit: 29Mb memory used is listed in the SubSonic control panel window. Probably not the same thing.
Output from ffmpeg -i: result: "ffmpeg: command not found"

If you shut down the process, rename your db folder to something like db.bak, restart the service, wait for subsonic to rebuild the default database, can you then reach the page and log in with the default credentials?

I'll try that now. Thanks.

@J_T_W That worked all right. Thanks. So is it likely the DB that got corrupted? Is my best bet just to rebuild everything from scratch or can I move *some* files from the db.bak folder to the new one? I suppose I can just try and see.
Thanks for the suggestion and your help.

I have never had luck doing too much manipulation with the script file - long time back I just scripted nightly backups of the DB folder so when I do get the 503 error, I just back up a day or so until I'm back at a functional restore.
