Subsonic web interface random changes&no longer plays music

Hello!
Problem Description: About a week ago, no updates, no changes to anything, literally changed between two songs, totally stopped playing music but no errors, it just never starts playing in the app (iSub)
As for the Web interface:
"Settings" disappeared from the left menu; have to click from the welcome blurb
No "play" icon on albums on the home page; nothing seems to queue or play any music no matter what I click
Under Settings, if I click "personal", "players", "shared media" it says: " Access denied
Sorry, you are not authorized to perform the requested operation.
Back" If images are needed I can figure out a way to post. There might be other changes, it's hard to compare when I only see it this way.
Troubleshooting Steps: I tried seeing if anybody else was having this issue on the forums; I also reviewed what I could in the logs to see if anything jumped out at me, but really I didn't know what else to try. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks to this forum I figured it out, I was running as the "admin" account which apparently is not preferred according an otherwise not related post, so I created a new user account with admin privileges and the problem is solved. Not sure why it happened, but it's fixed. Thanks everyone!
