Moving Music Library To A New PC, A Different Path

I wanted to move my Subsonic install off of my old Windows PC onto a new machine, but there are a couple of issues and I'm not sure how to best go about it.

For starters, should I bring over the old program directory or just install fresh on the new machine? Or should I do an install and then bring over the old program directory?

Also, on the old machine the music library was on an external network drive, but I've moved the files to an internal drive on the new computer with a different path. Do I need to do something to get Subsonic to locate the files in their new path so that I don't lose all of my old Subsonic playlists?

You can try a fresh install then copy over the old dirs.
Just install in the same path as before to avoid config file issues.
Make sure to use the same version of java and those paths match.

On playlists I recently did this and I exported all my playlists and used notepad++ to find and replace old paths to new paths.
To make that more seamless I repointed all my old library paths to the new music path dirs and then updated the playlists and imported them again.
