track numbers on multi-disc albums not appearing correctly

when I rip a live show that spans more than 1 disk using iTunes, it always numbers the tracks with the disc number preceeding the track (as in 1-01 1-02, 2-03, etc.) and I noticed that Subsonic does not recognize the correct order when displayed (i.e it shows track 1 on disc1 and then track 1 on disc 2 right after it instead of after all the other tracks on the first disc), so I tried renumbering all tracks sequentially (i..e tracks 1 through 24 without disc number), but Subsonic still shows them incorrectly.

I have the same issue on IE8 or on Firefox 3 and have cleared cache on both to no avail.
