Nothing but Web player mp3s seem to work.

So, I successfully installed everything necessary on my Ubuntu server, including lame and ffmpeg in /var/subsonic/transcode. I copied them there, rather than symlinking.

My transcode settings for m4a look like
Code: Select all
m4a > mp3 | m4a | mp3 | ffmpeg -i %s -f mp3 -ab %b | <blank> | <blank>
and the "Default" and "Enabled" boxes are checked.

I've checked the boxes for "Active Transcodings" for each player.

And I get zero audio from either a Web or an External player when playing an m4a file.

Help?

Hi,

what does your log say?

And perhaps this can help (look for guitarguru's post):

Both ffmpeg and lame are installed in /var/subsonic/transcode, not symlinked.

My log output:

On the advice of this thread I tried using `ffmpeg -i %s -f mp3 -ab %b - 2>/dev/null' and got the following log output:

What output do I need ffmpeg to pipe to?

New config tried; still not working, but no warnings/errors

So I created the shell script suggested by this thread, but still have no output.

Anyone have any clue where to go from here? I'm like Subsonic's ease of use, but if I'm not going to be able to use it, I'm not going to be able to use it, and that's that. Please point me in a direction to try, if you've got any clue whatsoever what might fix this.
