Subsonic Forum

I have 3 users on my subsonic setup right now for testing. During the day, myself and two other friends are listening to music.

What happens is that subsonic basically says that Ted is playing Ozzy Osbourne, when he's actually playing The Beatles. However, I am listening to Ozzy Osbourne. Subsonic seems to think that I'm Ted.

Now when I first set up Subsonic on my home computer as a test machine, this problem did not occur. This was installed on Windows XP SP3. Now that Subsonic is installed on my Windows 2k3 Server, I have this issue. Also, this issue occured the first time I had users on the server.

I have tried to delete all of the users and recreate them, but the problem persists.

Should I try a fresh reinstall of Subsonic?

Sounds like a cookie issue to me. I am guessing that when people login it is seeing the player number in teh cookie and showing that user in the now playing section.

Most likely the cookie is still from your initial subsonic setup and there was a different player associated with that user OR you deleted the players at some point.

I would delete the cookies from your machine and see if it fixes it.

I had the exact same issue and deleting the cookies solved it for me.
