How to: Using shortcuts

Hi there,

I want to enable a shortcut for new albums or songs. I don´t understand how it works.

I have made a folder named nieuwe binenkomers. I´ve used this name instead of New incoming Podcasts. I have also made a folder named nieuwe binnenkomers and placed all new albums and songs in that folder.

The folder shortcut is visable including a folder named incoming in the standard modus. When I chance de name of the folder shortcuts nothing appears in the menu.

As admin go to settings -> general
In the field Shortcuts put in the names you would like to be viewed as shortcuts in the left-pane windows.
As the fields is white space separated I am not sure how this will work on folders including white spaces. You might try to put them in with surrounding quotes ( " ).

It´s working now. In my case I needed to go to settings-general to the field shortcut (in Dutch " afkortingen").

After a few tests I've learned that you need to type in the exact name of the folder you want to display in the shortcuts menu. Also you need to type in the name or alias of this folder between quotes.

Example:
Nieuwe binnenkomers "Nieuwe binnenkomers"

I'm a bit confused about what you guys called shortcut

Is the shortcut the folder name you can see on the left hand side within drop down menu?

The Shortcuts section only appears if you have "ALL folders" selected from the drop down.

Sorry, but I don't get it right

I have added this shortcuts "New Incoming Podcast" under settings/general
Then I select all folders within the drop down menu

Is there anything I'm missing?

You also need to create the folder in one of the defined Music Folders.

i.e. If most of your music is in C:\Music

Create a folder C:\Music\New Incoming Podcast that contains the files you're trying to access.

The folder must exist before an active shortcut to it can be functional.
