Problem Streaming To Winamp

I am using Subsonic version 3.8 on an Ubuntu Karmic (9.10) box. I log in using a Vista machine and listen using Winamp setup as an External Player. Everything has been working perfectly for quite a while. Now, all of a sudden, if I look at the playlist and the Now Playing window in Subsonic, the active song moves to the next one every 30 seconds or so, even though the entire track plays in Winamp. I can still listen, but it is very annoying because I can't check cover art, lyrics, etc. in real time any more. Does anyone have a suggestion?

I figured out that the culprit behind this strange behavior is AVG 9. I had been using version 8.5 for a long time with no problems. As soon as I upgraded to version 9, though, all streaming got hosed... I ended up replacing it with a different product (Panda Cloud AV)
