Mac OS X 10.6.x startup help

Hi everybody,

I have just replaced an old P4 that was running Subsonic with a new Mac Mini. I have managed to get Subsonic installed, and it starts fine when I run the shell script in the subsonic folder.

I want Subsonic to launch at startup, and I have been searching the forum for days, but can't find any method that works. Google tells me that I should be able to use launchd to execute a script at start, but that is about as far as I got with that.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Try Applescript

I had the same problem. I solved it by creating a one line applescript, saving as an app, and putting it in my account startups.

Here is the line I use, you will have to change the path accordingly.

do shell script "users/prepress/music/subsonic/subsonic.sh"

Let me know if you need more info.

Paul
