Flac to Ogg transcoding

Postby tommy » Sat Nov 14, 2009 7:33 pm

I would like to transcode files from Flac to Ogg (in order to play those files on my new Android phone which supports ogg files). Unfortunately I have not been able to get this to work. I have tried a number of commands and none of them seem to load the transcoder (the Android app keeps downloading the Flac file, rather than the transcoded file).

I think this command should do the trick: oggenc2 -q 0 %s -

But it doesn't. I have also tried it with Flac in the first step, oggenc in the second. I have all the required files in the transcoding folder.

Any help?

Hmm. actually the transcoding went fine according to the Log file, and according to the Droid's disc. But the Subsonic App says there is an IOexception when it tries to play the file.

I get IOExceptions on the new android app with ogg files as well. I'm sure he'll take a look at it.
