I get "illegal character in authority at index 19"

when i try to log in using my subsonic app on android 3G, i get an error saying "illegal character in authority at index 19"

i have set all my computer network settings to "public mode" , i have done everything on my network to public on my computer to hopefully allow music streaming from my pc to my g3 cell phone on android.

on the subsonic app when it asks me enter my server address i enter - http://xx.xx.xxx.xx the x's represent my ip address. i am using port 80 and i did the windows installation from subsonic. not standalone or winrar.

my host site is : http://localhost/index.view - this is where all my music is on and i could listen to the music online but not on my phone because of the error code.

i have a "phone adapter with router" connected to my cable modem. i dont know if this has anything to do with my problem.

this is what i have done to my comp:

i have turned on network discovery
turned on file and printers sharing
turned on sharing so anyone can read and write files in the public folders
media streaming is on
use 128 bit encyption to help protect file sharing connections (windows 7 feature)
turned off password protected sharing
and allowed to manage homegroup connections

all these can be viewed on the computer network - under advance settings.

i am at the end of my rope and I NEED HELP! Please.

I had something similar to this. There was a space or newline character in either the server address or username and password. Check each of these fields for unwanted characters. Hope it helps.

everything i typed is correct but i still get the error...i have checked over and over again....thanks for the suggestion tho.
