Hi

I use Subsonic under Windows XP SP3 and the android application.
I use my public IP adress on port 8080 as server adress. The port forwarding is correctly configured on my router.

When I stream a song on my phone from the LAN connection, I have no problem to listen to music. But from the 3G connection I get the following error :

Error downloading"[Song Name]".
The operation timed out (SocketTimeoutExeption").

What am I doing wrong ?

Thanls for your help.

Have you verified that the subsonic server is accessible from outside your LAN? You can test it by simply using a browser from anywhere else than inside you home network and access the web-interface..

If you cannot access it from a browser either, then you at least know that it has nothing to do with your Android.

Hi

I just tried from another computer on another network and it worked perfectly (web application and music streaming).

I will try the android client on the same network (not 3G but WIFI) and see if it's a problem from my 3G access provider.

Thanks
