Is there a way I can change where subsonic writes the log file? My server is running on a USB memory stick. I noticed a lot gets written to this file and I'd like to move it to a hard disk to prolong the life of my USB stick
thanks
Jason

Just move your subsonic home directory. It'll move more than just your log file but all the other files don't need to be on your USB drive anyway (like thumbnails and the transcoding directory). If you're on Windows, you'll want to edit "subsonic.bat" and if you're on OSX/Linux, you'll edit subsonic.sh. You'll see a SUBSONIC_HOME variable. Set that to a folder on your hard drive.

Thanks for the reply
I don't have a subsonic.sh file. Just did a search from root and it didn't show up. I am using the war installation and it is running under tomcat. From what I can gather, the files in var/subsonic are generated by tomcat and any changes to something I make in that directory will be overwritten. I looked in the subsonic.war file, but its a binary.
Does this mean I need to do the standalone installation for this to happen?
Thanks
