Odd things happening with my install

Somehow my install is not acting right anymore. I login (as admin) from my localhost and left panel will never load with the songs.

I tried going into settings, search then updating search index now. It doesn't seem to be doing anything.

Can anyone help?

Thanks, newbie

Questions I think I've already answered...but any validation from others would be helpful....

1. When I play a song (using the web player), the "now playing" section to the right always shows the same (and wrong) album art.

(I think you have to have album art in the album folder, individual tag art will not show)

2. When I click on the album name for the current song that is in the list playing, the random albums display NOT the album that I clicked.

(I think the album has to be in a folder, not sure)

3. If I click the playing icon at the top of the page, I now always see random albums instead of the album that is playing.

(I think. Only if album is not in its own folder)

I'm new here too. After some trials, I got subsonic working and I really really like it.

I'm still going through my music, but I'm attaching the album art to each mp3 file. That album art is showing up. There are a few albums I have that have the art in the folder and that art is showing up as well.

Not quite sure what your install is doing, but thought I would clarify that my album art on my MP3 files shows up.

Have you made any changes to your computer or setup or anything that may relate to this change. I'm assuming from your wording that something changed and that it used to work correctly.

Is there a chance that you have the wrong album art associated with your music? If you play a song once, close your browser, play the same song again, does the same album art appear each time (still being the wrong art) or is it a different wrong one from the last one?

You might get some more help from others if you post your OS and which distro of Subsonic you are using.

Thanks! Actually, I just used MediaMonkey to put all of my files in folders by Artist and Album. Now Subsonic can read them properly and pick up the album art and songs that belong to a particular album. Also had to run the update search index function to get the search box working correctly.
