install subsonic on linux Debian etch server
Hello members,
I have installed subsonic on my windows xp with the windows installer and all went ok. I am a new adapt of subsonic (I must say it's looking very promising). I want to install subsonic on a Netgear NAS linux debian etc server and because I am a absolute beginner of linux server enviroments I need some basic step by step guide how to do this. I already saw some install posts of ubuntu but that didn't work for me. I have setup my debian etc server so I have permission to install programs on the root of the server. I have downloaded the subsonic-3.8-standalone.tar.gz file and uploaded it with filezilla to the root of my debian server. But now I get lost. I know I have to extract this file and I tried some commands but without any success. Can anyone help with this. I would much appreciate this.
With regards.
