it's kind of hard to search by the whole pharse the option was under becuase i got back over 700+ threads. So my question is this, I was looking for a way to play a random song on subsonic without having to create a playlist and with no limit. Im currently working with version 3.8(build 1130) and i have heard of the option "Play more random songs when end of playlist is reached" but not i dont see that. i only see now that you can create a random playlist with only up 50 songs. But if its a play list its still a set amount of songs to play. Am i right? I was mainly looking for a way to have subsonic play randomly on an unlimited amount of any song in the song/album listing/database. Was the "Play more random songs when end of playlist is reached" able to do that? Has it been taking out? I really don't see it under the "more" section. Could someone enlighten me on this issue? thanks :(

Hi,

you should

1) try to insert some line breaks in your postings for readability

and then

2) upgrade to 3.9beta1 (see download page), the option is there. I have not tested it, but I assume it will just go and play songs from your catalog.

ff

If you are unable to access the "Play More Random Songs When End Of Playlist Is Reached" feature, you more than likely have your player set to "External Player With Playlist". This causes the playlist to be managed in your external player instead of in Subsonic.

Switch to the "External Player" option (or use the built in Flash player) and the desired feature should become available again.
