Hi

After setting up subsonic, I can only access by using http://localhost:8080 but not by using http://192.168.2.3 which is the servers ip address. I have set my firewall on the router to port forwarding 8080 to 192.168.2.3. but still no success. I also cannot connect from any other PC on my network.

Thanks

G Smith

Change the Port to 80 (Defaultport for http) to use http://192.168.2.3

OR use http://192.168.2.3:8080

Hi

I have already tried using http://192.168.2.3:8080, but still I cannot access subsonic. I can ping 192.168.2.3 from any other pc with no problems. I can also connect to my apache web server on 192.168.2.3 and that works fine, I can also connet to CUPS and Usermin using the same ip address with using the relavent ports 631 and 20000, but not subsonic, any ideas?

Hi Thanks for the reply

Yes I do have access to my server over the Internet.

I have now got it to work with the ip address and port 192.168.2.3:8080 . I installed tomcat with the war version and that somehow made it work. So then, I did a quick experiment, uninstalled tomcat and set it back up as a standalone, this seem to have made it worked. Why? Good question.

Hi all,

First, I am using Vista Ultimate and have IIS 7 setup already.

I can access the IIS Default startup page though http://localhost/ with no
problem, however, it doesn't work when I try to access it through LAN
(http://ipaddress/).

Yes I do have access to my server over the Local Network.

Check with other port. Try to use 8008 for outgoing connections... Open SS setup and change IP to 0.0.0.0 (bind to all interfaces). For Linux edit /etc/default/subsonic or /usr/share/subsonic/subsonic.sh (.../subsonic.sh).
