3.9 Failed Upgrade - Fixed

Hello! I've been using and loving 3.8 for months without any problems at all. Today I tried to upgrade the to 3.9 on my Ubuntu Server 9.10 running tomcat6.

I followed the WAR install instructions, and I think mistakingly removed (using rm -r) the /var/lib/tomcat6/work directory. I then got a missing directory error and tomcat6 wouldn't start again. I then tried creating the work dir again, and even creating a symbolic link to /var/cache/tomcat6/work (which also didn't exist so I created it also) nothing worked, and I get the below Apache error on my subsonic login page. Any help would be great, I'm lost without me soundtrack to like :-).

Well I solved my problems, which was a permissions issue.

The original work dir, not the symlink, was locked down to much. I changed the permissions and everything came back and works fine now!
