Song won't start on its own

I'm having a somewhat confusing problem using the web player. For the majority of my files, everything works fine.
This problem is only occuring (as far as I can tell) on mp3's I purchased using Zune marketplace. These are 256 or 320kbps mp3 files with NO drm.

Symptoms: (I have verified this problem on two computers from both within the same network and over the internet.)

*When I go to play them in the web interface and the flash player, they don't play. The play icon changes to pause icon for a quarter second, then switches back to play.

*If I click the seek bar somewhere within the song, it plays fine.

*Behavior is the same between Firefox and IE.

*If I set the web player to limit bitrate to anything below 320kbps, it plays when I click play, but the audio is greatly slowed down.

*Playing the song from the android app works perfectly.
*Playing the song using the local player instead of the flash player works perfectly.

I'm using Windows Vista and Subsonic 3.9
Any suggestions?? Can anyone test Zune purchased mp3s??

I am having this same problem

and wondered if anyone else had come up with a solution?

I am using an iPhone with the website connection. It recognizes my files, shows artwork, but cycles through an album's song in seconds with no sound at all.

Thanks. :cry:

Kicking one more time, hoping for a solution.

I have a LARGE library, probably close to 90GB, is that part of the problem?

No, that is not the problem. I have just above 250 GB (for now) and it works like charm.

@randregL
What system are you running on?

@Both
Have you checked out the logs?

@Both
Are all the transcoding parameters been sett as they should be?.

I'm using an iPhone 3GS, 16GB newest model, running XP on a wifi-enabled laptop.

I've left the transcoding parameters at the installation default.

I found this in the log:
INFO: The CacheManager shutdown hook is enabled because net.sf.ehcache.enableShutdownHook is set to true.
Apr 22, 2010 6:36:41 AM net.sf.ehcache.Cache initialise
WARNING: Cache: chatCache has a maxElementsInMemory of 0. It is strongly recommended to have a maximumSize of at least 1. Performance is halved by not using a MemoryStore.

I don't know how to change these size settings.

Kicking and hoping for an answer!

I mean is the Memory Space (Ram) or the HDD Space. He have not enough memory. Or not?

Memory = Ram
Cache = HDD

Test it with "more Ram" Settings
Or am I mistaken?

Another kick....

I have my music on a standalone hard drive. I changed its settings to where it would cache on the computer for better performance; however, I still am getting the same errors as before.

I really would appreciate whatever help anybody can give.... :cry:

same exact issue. windows 7 64 bit, but that shouldnt matter, since im using the web browser player. i am using firefox.

also, it is only certain songs. if i click to skip ahead then the song will start playing from that point on.
