Can't get this set up to work with my Android Phone
Posted: Thu Apr 08, 2010 3:51 amOK. I posted earlier that I was able to get this to work fine with my wi-fi network but not with 3G. After further study I think that was because using wi-fi my phone was using the same router that runs the network the server is on. So port forwarding wasn't an issue??? Maybe???
Anyway I discovered that I didn't have port forwarding set up. I am trying to use portforward.com to do this, but I can't find the proper settings.
My router is a 2Wire 3800 HGV-B. I can get into the router settings. however, I can't find instructions to configure for Subsonic anywhere on the PortForward page.
Can someone help here?
When I launch subsonic on my windows pc and go to the settings page, if I select "automatically configure your router..." it says Status: No Router Found. Huh? why would that be.
If I deselect that check box it gives me the message "Port Forwarding Disabled."
I am very confused. I would like to use this program and make a donation to do so, but not unless I can get it working.
