Max Bitrate

I have limited the bitrate to 128k on all of my players and have checked to make sure lame is installed. Path below:

(C:\subsonic\transcode\lame.exe)

However, I have noticed that the bitrate is still displaying at a much higher rate in both the web application and iSub.

Do I have to inidvidually transcode each file?!?!

-dub

It appears as though subsonic is trying to transcode the the file and reduce the bitrate but I get the following error:

[4/11/10 5:35:45 PM EDT] DEBUG InputStreamReaderThread (c:\subsonic\transcode\faad) 0% decoding G:\Organized Music\Alternative - Indie - Rock - Punk\Beta Band, The\The Three E.P.'s\01 Dry The Rain.m4a.

Could there be an error in the file string or how I have my upload directory named?

Not sure about this error, someone with more experience with Subsonic will have to help out, but I can tell you that the bitrate displayed in iSub is the bitrate of the original file. When a song list is requested from Subsonic, it returns the original file's bitrate rather than the transcoded bitrate and I use that information for the display.

Well if that's the case then I think I'm golden. I have noticed increased playback quality (less buffering and the app runs a lot smoother) while on 3G but was confused when the original bitrate was still displayed.

Thanks!!
