Subsonic Forum

I installed subsonic on an htpc running xbmc live. I used the "war installation" method, following these instructions: http://thismightbehelpful.blogspot.com/2008/11/alternatives-to-jinzora-ampache-and.html

The installation worked. I can access the subsonic page by going to: the-ip-of-the-computer-on-which-subsonic-is-installed:8080/subsonic. I can even play the music files stored on that computer.

However, on the nework settings page, under the [myname].subsonic.org settings, it says that [myname].subsonic.org "is registered, but could not connect to it (ConnectTimeOutException)."

I can't access subsonic through the address I registered, or through subair (I get a 0: HTTP request error).

Any ideas about what I could do? Thanks.

using Subsonic on SnowLeopard. love the product. initially set up port forwarding and registered website without difficulty. connected fine on my local wifi and on my phone.

now getting connection issues to my website from outside my wifi even though port forwarding still working.

not sure what changed or what to do next.

any help would be greatly appreciated!
