Android - Last.FM scrobbling unplayed songs

It looks like that due to the way last.fm scrobbling works in conjunction with the way the Android app works, you end up scrobbling an entire album before you even listen to it. Every time it starts the transcode to upload to your phone, it syncs to Last.FM. If you queue up a huge playlist and don't listen to it, then it all goes to Last.FM.

Bug? At least an oversight. Perhaps the Android app will only start to grab the next song 30 seconds before the end of the current one playing?

Also have noticed that if you pause and don't come back, it still streams the whole album to your phone and reports it as played to last.fm.

If this has been reported already, all apologies. I am pretty serious in Subsonic now so I'm using it a lot and noticing small things.

First off, LOVE Subsonic. It's an awesome app...and able to listen on Android to boot!

Unfortunately, I'm having the same pet peeve.

The iPhone apps would do the same thing now. The developers have included pre-buffering of songs for your convenience. It's in case your cellular signal drops out. But they seem to be willing to completely ignore the fact that Subsonic only knows what you're playing when you initiate the download of the song.

This issue needs to be resolved in future versions of Subsonic I think. However for now, if you turn off advance caching of songs it should remedy the problem.

Cheers,
