How does license system really work on subsonic?

I all,
First, thanks for subsonic - the first music streaming application I found that fulfills all my needs (and more...)

Now for my question: to be able to use the API for more than a month, I need to donate. In Marsch, I bought the z-subonic, which now has stopped working as expected. But in april (17th), I bought iSub as well, which still works! Is this really the way it's supposed to work? It seems to me that the license is on a "clienttype" level, or is this a bug? I guess I will find out May, 17th when iSub is one month old, so I will wait with donation until then to find out.

Hi,

Each REST client has a separate 30-day trial (as do the personal subsonic.org domain name). This is intentional, the reason being that you should be able to try all the features also on an "old" installation of Subsonic.

So expect the iSub app to stop working on May 17 ;-)

Cheers,
Sindre
