Safari insists on download m3u instead of playing in browser

Is anyone else having this problem? When I try to play something Safari will download the m3u file instead of using the web player. I confirmed my player settings and I am set up properly to use the web player. Chrome and Firefox both work as expected, just not Safari.

Any ideas? Thanks.

I was finally able to fix this. Not sure which of the following steps did it, but everything is working as expected now.

1. Uninstalled Flash Beta for Mac and installed latest stable version
2. Cleared Safari cache
3. Removed several plugins from /Library/Internet-Plugins
3. Reset Safari from the Safari Menu
