Subsonic Setup in Android Device

Hi
I have Subsonic 4.0 (on my desktop) configured to run on port 444 since my service provider blocks port 80.

I recently purchased HTC Incredible (Android 2.1) device and downloaded subsonic from Android Market. As part of setting up my device I am giving my url in the setup window with my port for ex: http://XXXX.XXXX.com:444/ (I presume the device app is expecting to connect using port 80?) for it returns with an error. This same URL works from a laptop when I connect from internet.

I also tried to create another domain using DYNDNS and used webhop feature of DYNDNS to redirect this new address to my subsonic server but without any luck. Is there anything I can do to make this connection from my Android device to my subsonic server? Any advice will greatly help.

thanks

Hello. First off, can you browse to your subsonic address via a web browser on a PC? If not, you have issues with your subsonic installation on your server.

Secondly, I believe you need to use the full address of your subsonic server in your droid app settings, so that would be http://XXXX.XXXX.com:444/subsonic/

...note the inclusion of the /subsonic/
