Search index is missing things

I've been having a problem with my search index for a while now. I can't figure out why I seem to be missing many, many songs and albums.

When I manually force Subsonic to create a new index it reports no errors and the log shows:

INFO SearchService - Created search index with 161000 entries.

When I look in the index file with:

cat subsonic10.index | grep "missing album"

all of the songs are correctly listed. However, when I search in the subsonic GUI in the Any field or the album field the album and the songs never come up.

Any ideas whats going wrong? Anything I could look at to give us more information for fixing my problem? Thanks!
