Web Interface not working

Postby starnix » Tue May 18, 2010 3:07 am

I am not sure if I am doing something wrong but when I try to access the web interface I get the following error:

(Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)

I am running the latest Ubuntu (10.04) with Subsonic 4.0.1. I have subsonic running on port 443 and am using "https://[myipaddress]:443. I have tried replacing the ip with localhost with the same result. Please help as I have purchased a license and cannot install it without getting to the web interface.

maybe, just maybe try to change <VirtualHost *> to <VirtualHost *:80> in config

if not, please be aware, that your problem relates to misconfigured apache, try to google the error, it is not related to subsonic

Ok I must be missing something because nowhere in the installation directions did it mention having to install and configure apache. I just assumed subsonic had its own webserver. Is this not the case? To be honest, the only reason I am trying to bring it up is to enter the license #. Is there a different way of doing it? Editing a text file perhaps?

Have you tried running it without SSL on a different port yet?

You do not need to install or configure Apache in order to be able to run Subsonic. I have been running it on Ubuntu from Jaunty on (now it is on Lucid) without having to install any other servers.
