Ave you read the Getting started doku?

Have a search for portforwarding or similar search term.

This will give you some help in the right directions.

yes, getting started was the first thing I read ;) and I have searched, hence the detailed nature of my post.

I essentially cannot figure this out through cobbling pieces of other people's misfortunes together any longer.

I hope you haven't given up yet. I'll try to help you out.

Just a warning that this is going to be a little complicated because of your current set up with 2 devices acting like routers but we should be able to get it figured out.

Two Questions
1. Is your Mac Mini connected wirelessly through your airport or is it plugged in? I'm not familiar with the port setup on these.

2. Can your Mac Mini be plugged directly into your WiMax router? It would be nice to eliminate one of your routers from the equation if it were possible with your current setup.

Let me know these answers and we can get started. :D

I've changed routers since then - its an actiontec DSL modem/router now.
It is connected wirelessly and I do not have the option to plug it in directly.

I also have a new NAS now where all my media is stored, a Synology DS410J, if that makes thing any easier/more difficult. This is plugged directly into the modem/router at the moment but I am going to be changing that soon (plugging into mac mini directly and connecting wirelessly via router).

I have little hope that this will work but it would be nice.

thx
