Unable to open subsonic configuration page

Hello. I've tried to do research as to how to get subsonic operating correctly.

After installing the installer for Windows 7, x86, I've been unable to get to subsonic's configuration page. I've made it so that the subsonic agent and service run with administrator's privileges, and I've port forwarded my router to a specific port (35536) for use by subsonic, and yet I still get a Service status of "Could not get status.".

When I try clicking the subonic-booter-jar-with-dependencies, I also get an Error message of "Address already in use. Please change port number". (I originally got this before I changed the subsonic port from 80, which prompted me to try changing it to 35536.)

I've completely uninstalled what I thought could be a hindering anti-virus program to no avail. Any suggestions as to how to circumvent these issues? Thanks in advance.
