android force close... HELP

finally i have got everything set up for me to use subsonic from my android.
HTC Desire 2.1 stock.

i have correctly set up the server and can test the connection. it all works.

i get force close whenever i try to goto my music.
no matter if ive restarted the phone forced closed the app.
it wont show my music
i get
(the application subsonic (process net.sourceforge..subsonic.androidapp) has stopped unexpectedly. please try again)

can you please help me

I would be very interested in finding out what's causing this.

If it's convenient to you, could you create a temporary test account for me on your server so I can try to reproduce the error from my phone?

Sure.
The test account is

username: android
Password: test
The server is
Sole.subsonic.org
Although I couldn't log in using the above address, kept getting username/password incorrect.

What worked for me was.

Sole.gotdns.com:5001/

Thanks for setting up the test account. Please note that I changed the password of the "android" user.

It works fine both from my Nexus One and from an Android emulator, so I'm not sure what's causing the problem.

If you want to pursue this further you can install the Android SDK, hook up your phone to the pc, and do a "adb logcat" to look at the log messages.

I'm happy to install the sdk. And can work out how to get the log,
but what should I look out for?

Do you reckon you could have a look at the log?

Also if there is anybody who has a HTC desire, I could give you an account to see If its crashes your phone as well that would be great.

very interesting, so it works for sindre on the nexus one and the emulator, but wont work for you on your htc desire, but yours does.

ill download the sdk and get the log, hopefully that can shed some light on this problem.

I see the exact same behavior on my HTC Evo with android 2.2, not rooted or anything. I'm using ubuntu for a server , and haven't tried on a windows server yet, but the demo server works just fine. Thanks.
