Getting Rid of Duplicate Players?

No matter what I try or where I look, I can't get rid of this recurring issue. I keep getting duplicate "Player17" and "Player28" and "Player41" and so on appearing in my Players list. I can't even pinpoint why they are being created, but it seems that it might happen when I or other users log into Subsonic from different locations than usual. But each time I go to the players list, I see that there are one to five more players than there should be.
What can automatically create a player that isn't on the list, aside from being manually created by the admin?
EDIT: should add I'm running on WinXP, latest version of Subsonic

as far as I figured out:
Log-In: Create Player
Log-Out: Remove Player
so if you log-in from different locations, each time a new player will be generated. Forgetting to log-out (or maybe deleting cookies on client side) let the players exist forever.

That's a bug which is getting out of hand on the machine I run. I have almost a dozen regular users, and the cleanup work on getting rid of those extra players is fairly irritating.

You can manually create players for each user with specific settings 'bit rate etc' and they get that player each time they login.
So I have created a player with each users name, a slight pain but it seems to work fine.

WildWalker. Could you please elaborate a bit more on this? Currently I'm trying this for my own user name which has admin rights but it keeps creating a new player each time I log in.
Thanks,
Chris
